The Society is active in the promotion of Statutory Regulation of Chinese Medicine by the Department of Health and aims to cooperate in the consultation and decision making process so that the Regulations are an effective safeguard for both the public user and the professional practitioner in ensuring that only those who are competent and qualified can legitimately practice Chinese Medicine in the UK. The Society also aims to cooperate with Educational and Training establishments to uphold the standards of training for future practitioners and other medical professionals who wish to study Chinese Medicine.
The Society promotes education in Chinese Medicine through lectures, presentations and leaflets or news letter. Primary Health Trusts and other medical users are encouraged to contact the Society offices with enquiries for such presentations to their area practices.
